NASA reporting cycles
There are two types of regular reports that we submit to NASA. One type of reporting aligns with our grant’s fiscal cycle and the other does not. To ensure that we’re always prepared with data whenever a report is due to NASA, internally we ask that you regularly report on your activities to us according to your academic calendar.
- September – December (autumn quarter/semester) — Report all activities by November 1. [Report due to NASA: WA Space Grant 6-month report]
- If you have activities planned for the period of November 1 – December 31, please list them as “upcoming” on your autumn report. On your next report (winter quarter or first half of spring semester), please provide an update on those planned activities (did they happen, or were they cancelled? if they happened, please provide the usual details).
- January – March (winter quarter / first half of spring semester) — Report all activities by March 1. [Report due to NASA: WA Space Grant annual performance report]
- April – May (spring quarter / second half of spring semester) — Report all activities by June 1.
- June – August (summer quarter/semester) — Report all activities by August 31. [Report due to NASA: Government fiscal year performance data collection]
More robust information on reporting, including templates and examples, will be available on the intranet soon.
