Elibibilty and Requirements

A maximum of 10 participants will be accepted for the 2018 program.

Priority will be given to current undergraduate and graduate students attending the University of Washington although individuals from other institutions are eligible to apply.

Minimum requirements for participation in the program include sophomore standing by the beginning of the program, and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Prospective participants also must be at least 18 years of age and provide evidence of a negative TB test.

UW students accepted to the program also must complete PSYCH 494: Field Course in Animal Behavior ("International Field Study Program-Indonesia Seminar") offered during the 2018 spring quarter at the University of Washington.

NOTE: Because of the timing of the overseas portion of this program, UW students have two options for course registration:

  1. Students may register for the program courses during the summer quarter 2018 and receive an "X" (no grade reported at this time). The regular grade will be entered following the return of the Program Director.

  2. Students may register for the courses during the fall quarter 2018.
