“Biggest Losers” keep weight off with lots of exercise

A study of 14 people who took part in “The Biggest Loser" TV show found
those who were able to maintain their significant weight loss averaged 80
minutes per day of moderate exercise or 35 minutes of vigorous exercise,
researchers reported in the journal Obesity and at the Obesity Society’s annual
meeting. The study found the dieters had a significantly lower metabolism and
those who exercised were able to better maintain their weight loss.
