Jon Bakker
Jon is a Principle Investigator on the project. He is an Assistant Professor in the College of Forest Resources at the University of Washington. His research centers on the restoration and management of ecosystems.

Matt Davies
Matt is the project's Post-Doctoral Research Associate. His background is in the fire behaviour and ecology of shrubland habitats in the UK. He will be focusing on using long-term data-sets to examine sage-steppe community development trajectories following repeated fires.

Eva Dettweiler-Robinson
Eva is a Masters student in the College of Forest Resources. Her research focuses on plant community recovery after disturbance. She will be investigating how soil stability and dispersal affects the post-fire recovery of biological soil crusts.

Peter Dunwiddie
Peter is a Principle Investigator on the project. He is an Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington in the Biology Department and the College of Forest Resources. His current research focuses on fire ecology, rare species management, restoration, biogeography, and conservation biology.

Sonia Hall
Sonia is a Principal Investigator on the project. She is the Arid Lands Ecologist with The Nature Conservancy. Her current focus is eastern Washington ecosystems, particularly shrub steppe. She works with program staff to maximize the lessons learned from stewardship and restoration actions, and collaborates with university and agency researchers to address key knowledge gaps important for effective conservation of these systems.
