Get Reimbursed for Eligible Childcare Costs

Starting with traineeships that begin on September 16, 2022 or later, MBTG has funds of up to $2,500 per trainee from NIH to reimburse trainees for eligible childcare expenses. In order for an expense to be eligible:

• The trainee must provide a receipt from a childcare provider licensed by the State of Washington.
• The child(ren) must be a dependent 12 years old or younger (17 years old or younger if disabled)
• The child(ren) must reside with the trainee (includes foster/adoption, and partial custody situations)
• The expense must occur during the period of the traineeship.
