General Instructions

Please refer to the tabs at the top of your screen in order to complete all sections of the application. Tabs 1-6 and 9 – 11 are required in order to submit your application. The Extracurricular Activities and Work Experience tabs are not required to submit the application, however, if you leave these sections blank please explain why in your essay. Essays may be created in Microsoft Word or another word processing platform and cut and pasted into the Essay tab.

Previous Applicants

If you have previously applied to the APIASF Scholarship Program online, please use your same email and password information to log-in in the upper right-hand corner. If you do not remember your password, please enter in your email above (in the upper right-hand corner) and click on “Forgot your password?” to reset your password.

Navigating the Portal

Once you have completed a tab for the first time, you will see a “Next” button that will allow you to access the subsequent tab. To return to a tab you have already completed to make changes, click on the appropriate application tab in the navigation bar at the top of the page or the arrows on the bottom of the page. In order to save any changes made, you must click on the “Save” button at the bottom of the page.

Saving Information

Remember that if you are editing information that you have already entered, you must save each section of the application by hitting the “Save” button at any time. Once you hit “Save” that information will remain in your application and you can logout and return to complete the application at another time. Please also remember to click “Save” after you have entered each essay response.

Certifying Your Application

Certifying your application is verifying that all the information within your application is true and submitting your application. Once you certify your application, you cannot go back and make any edits. It is your responsibility to ensure that you certify your application (Tab 10), Request a Recommendation Letter (Tab 11) and answer any additional questions for scholarships that you qualify for in the Additional Scholarships section (Tab 12). Please note that you do not need to certify your application prior to requesting a letter of recommendation.
