Nanoscience and Molecular Engineering - an Option Program Network NME Option for MSE
Undergraduate Majors
Admission: Admission to the MSE NME Option is by self-selection. General admission to the MSE NME Option is upon completion of NME 220, MSE major prerequisites, and admission to the major. Students selecting to apply for the NME Option should indicate so in their Materials Science and Engineering application and discuss their interests and background in the essay. Program
Requirement for
the MSE NME Option (20 credits): NME 220, NME 221, NME 321; NME 421;
minimum of three additional approved nanoscience and molecular engineering
electives. The senior project (MSE 499) must be in an NME area. Contact the MSE Advising Office for the current list
of approved electives.
