Introducing Our New Assistant Director, Hadar Albo!
PacTrans welcomes Hadar Albo, our new Assistant Director. Hadar has eight years of experience in the transportation industry, both in the private sector and in public agencies. She received her degree in civil engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and is a licensed professional engineer.
Hadar’s previous role before PacTrans was an engineer with the City and County of Denver, where she focused on multimodal projects as a member of the transportation implementation design team. Her experience in transportation consulting while working for the private sector has ranged from working for a small ten person local firm (Parisi Transportation Consulting) to a 300+ person firm where she worked on multimodal improvements around the country (Toole Design Group). Hadar is passionate about projects that have meaningful impacts in providing transportation solutions to underserved communities.
Hadar sat on the board of the Colorado chapter of Women in Transportation Seminar from 2023-2025, where she was responsible for the committee that runs the student outreach program to help young girls in elementary, middle and high school learn about career opportunities in transportation and in engineering as a whole. Hadar also volunteered as the co-leader of a non-profit workout group, November Project, from 2020-2023 where she organized free accessible workouts twice a week for a group that would average in size around fifty people.
Hadar enjoys running, biking, and spending time with her fiancée MaryKate and their dog Charlie. She relocated to Seattle for the opportunity to work with PacTrans and is excited to explore all the PNW has to offer.
We are excited to see PacTrans continue to grow under Hadar’s leadership. Please join us in giving her a warm welcome, and feel free to reach out to her at halbo@uw.edu.
