Instructions for screen SRF630

If the SRF305 indicates that there is a Hold on a student's record, details of that hold are found on this screen.

ACTION: To add a hold, an "A" is entered in this field. To delete a hold, a "D" is entered in this field.

OFFICE: The office that placed the hold and has the ability to remove the hold is listed in this field. Some departments don't have access to adding or removing holds. These holds are noted as Registrar holds and are added and removed by the Graduation and Academic Records Staff after receiving documentation from the department.

REASON: A brief description of the hold and usually a phone number to reach the person within the correct office that can explain the hold.

A hold can be placed on the student's Registration and/or Transcripts. A "Yes" in both "HOLD" columns on the right-hand side of the screen would prevent a student from doing any registration transactions or receiving a transcript. A hold in either column prevents the Registration Office from processing a Returning Student Application until the hold(s) has been cleared.
