A Enrollment Confirmation Deposit (ECD) is required when a new, returning, graduate, or professional student has been accepted or re-accepted to the University. The primary use of this screen is for the Registrar's Mail Services Office staff to enter the payment when it is received.
PAYMENT AMOUNT: The amount of money received is entered in this field.
PAYMENT TYPE: The type of payment is entered in this field.
ECD PAID/WAIVED: A "P" appears in this field once the payment amount and type have been entered.
ECD FORF: An X is entered in this field to indicate the amount of money received. An asterisk appears once the X has been entered.
ADVISING DATE: For new and transfer students who don't wish to attend an Orientation, an advising date is required. The advising date is entered by the Mail Services Office (the students are given choices on the paperwork they send in). For Returning, Graduate and Post-Baccalaureate students, no date needs to be entered (see below).
ADVISING TYPE: an "A" is entered in this field for students who are assigned an advising appointment. For Returning Students, an "N" is entered in this field because an Advising Appointment is not required. The student is able to register on the first day of Registration Period two. An "O" is entered for students who wish to attend Orientation.
Once the payment and advising date have been entered, a Registration Notice is produced and mailed to the student. For students who choose to go to an orientation, the orientation request is sent to the New Student Programs Office. When the orientation date has been determined, the New Student Programs Office enters the date on the SRF145 screen. The date then appears on the SRF160 and SRF610 screen. New Student Programs Office sends information about their assigned Orientation to the student.
