  • Let’s Talk About Sex: While the number of instances of sexual content on television continues to rise, a new trend is starting. More and more shows are tackling the consequences of sex, according to a recent study. Think about shows you watch. How do they portray sexuality? Design and postcards to shows that you feel do or don’t handle teen sexuality in a responsible way. Tell them what you think and tell them why they should listen to you! To read a summary of the study, visit http://www.kaisernetwork.org/daily_reports/rep_index.cfm?DR_ID=15869.

  • Explore the use of media literacy as a strategy for abstinence education. Based on Washington's nationally acclaimed Teen Aware Project, this site offers a vast collection of curriculum resources for adults working with teens in this mediated world.
