Unit 4: Seeing Curriculum Driven by the TTQ Rubric

This is a short unit in which actual curriculum/syllabi driven by the TTQ Rubric is presented. It is important to remember how to use the elements of the rubric within your program's curriculum in ways that engage students in authentic learning. Remember, authentic learning is project-based learning. It will be helpful to look at Unit 1 Notes again while proceeding through Unit 4.

There is one lesson for this unit which addresses Objective 7

Lesson/Objective 7
Given access to example TTQ curriculum, trainees will analyze if it is driven by the TTQ Rubric.

PRINT:

TTQ Checklist (this is a basic To Do list, but NOTE how the students are engaged in the activity in a project based learning way)
Example Curriculum: Research & Writing
Example Curriculum: Technology
Things to Consider in Curriculum Planning (this lists several ways to approach TTQ curriculum based on how much time your program has)

Reflection Assignment: After printing out the handouts above, analyze how these examples were driven by the TTQ Rubric. Think about how you can implement this type of curriculum planning in your own program beginning with an Action Plan. You will fill out an Action Plan using the rubric in the next unit. If you don't have a lot of time in your program for TTQ, base your Action Plan on the "Things to Consider in Curriculum Planning"

Go to the presentation for Unit 4
