Angola

One half of the population that existed in the beginning of the war still existed today. Because of the war the country was badly damaged and still remains so till this day. Elections were told to be held in 2006 and one of the first elections they have had since 1976. Although Angola still participates in the Kimberly process diamonds are no longer traded into the country. Currently Angola still provides 8% percent of the world’s diamonds.
