Liberia

Charles Taylor the president of Liberia was accused of exchanging and providing arms and training for the RUF in 2000. Since then Taylor has stepped down as president. Liberia is currently petitioning to become a member of the Kimberly Process; delays may be made due to the current exports of conflict diamonds.  Currently a UN Security Council Resolution is in place, banning the export of diamonds from Liberia.
