My name is
Christina R and I am going to be a senior at Nathan Hale High School.
I want to attend college here at the University of Washington because I have
a deep love of Seattle. I long to travel the world but my heart and home will
always be here. My interests include reading, poetry, rollerblading, and the
oceans. I consider myself to be a very happy person who is just waiting for
my dreams to come true.
I want everyone to be happy and for everyone to have all their dreams and wishes to come true( as long as they are good dreams and wishes ).
Upward Bound is a program to help students be accepted to the college they choose. Through hard work and help from the teachers in Upward Bound we learn about the college environment and how to successfully achieve within that environment.
Being on-line through the World Wide Web is very fascinating. Everyday there is a new adventure to be accessed and another question answered. Through the Web I can see the world with only a computer and a few strokes of its keys.
When I first thought of sitting in front of a computer all day the thought caused me to yawn. After only a few minutes on-line that yawn turned into a smile. There are graphics to please the eyes and information to please the brain. In fact the only problem so far is the lack of exercise.
There are places all over the world to access and people all over the world to communicate with. A whole world awaits to be explored and I am on my way.
Stephen King--King has a way of making
my blood freeze and my bones chill.Piers Anthony--Anthony is a fantasy
writer whose characters seem alive in my mind.Clive Barker--Barker created
"Hellraiser" and his books create different worlds in my mind.
Blading sets me free into a world of
adventure.Contrary to popular belief of
nonbladers, blading is much easier than roller skating.Exercise is the key to a healthy life
and roller blading is a fun and exciting way to a healtier lifestyle.
I love the way marine animals look while
in their natural habitat.In my opinion the ocean is where all
life began.When I look at the ocean I feel right at
home and there is no place like home.

Well this is my last year in Upward Bound and I will miss you all! Remember all of the
good times we've had and give Barry a hard time next year if he doesn't have socks on!
