My name is Erhiza N. I attend the Upward Bound Program at the University of Washington in Seattle. I've been in this program for two years. I'm sixteen years old and come from a family of nine. This should let you know and see the things that took place in our program this year. Bye!

The Upward Bound Program:

The Upward Bound Program to me is a program that gives a number of high school students the chance to get extra education and credit during the summer for about a month.

Being on-line through the World Wide Web:

Being able to go on-line through the World Wide Web was a fortunate thing for me. I was given the chance to see all the things other people created, and at the same time, see pictures that they may have had included.

I think that the World Wide Web is very unique. It basically lets you put together something you want seen in the computer. It also lets you look at what other people have done. What I liked about it was how I was able to see the graphics right in front of me in the computer.

Interests:

Relaxing at parks

I feel very different when I take the time out to go to a park alone. It seems to make me forget about all the problems in my life. Instead of thinking of bad things, going to the park makes me think about my future and my plans for it.

Basketball

Playing basketball gives me the chance to help myself out a little bit. I think it makes me in control of what I want to happen. It's a good way for me to get rid of the stress I may have.

Watching Movies

I enjoy watching movies whether they're mysteries, horrors, comedy, or love stories. I enjoy getting the chance to get away from real life. Instead, I can just watch something that doesn't deal with me.
