The Rescue Agency seeks ILLUSTRATOR
Rescue is a full-service marketing agency with a mission to make healthy behaviors easier and more appealing. Since our founding in 2001, Rescue has been exclusively focused on researching, developing, and implementing positive social change campaigns in public health. We provide research, strategy, creative, production, web, traditional media, social media, policy change, youth engagement and experiential marketing services to government, non-profit and healthcare clients in over 25 states and provinces, as well as to federal government agencies.
Rescue’s health behavior change marketing campaigns focus on topics such as tobacco, obesity, substance and alcohol prevention; the promotion of exercise, eating healthy foods, early childhood development, and after school programs; and other topics that promote healthy living. Rescue’s behavior change campaigns focus on diverse populations within teen (13 – 17), young adult (18 – 26), and adult (18+) populations in both rural and urban areas, resulting in a wide variety of campaign styles and strategies.

We are looking for a talented Illustrator/Graphic Artist, who will focus on creating conceptual and illustrated key art for use in storyboards, commercials, and digital content, to join our creative team. The ideal candidate is skilled in both traditional sketching/drawing as well as vector/digital art with experience in creating illustrations to be used in an animation/video workflow. The Illustrator is also skilled at translating scripts to compelling visuals to tell a story. The ideal candidate has a passion for behavior change and is capable of working collaboratively.
Collaborate with creative leads to translate concepts/scripts into compelling storyboards;
Sketch and conceptualize creative concepts;
Prepare illustrations for animation;
Illustrate visual elements such key art, icons, logos, and GIF animations;
High School Diploma;
Strong traditional drawing/sketching and vector illustration skills;
Strong experience preparing storyboards and vector illustrations for animation in Adobe Effects and Premier;
Strong experience with storyboard and conceptual illustration;
Strong experience with iconography and logo illustration;
Solid understanding of typography and layout;
Expert level knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator;
Must have strong eye for design and attention to detail
Ability to take direction and critique;
Comfortable in fast paced work environment.
Experience with Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere or relevant animation software
Experience with Procreate, Autodesk Sketchbook or relevant digital art software
Experience with 3D modeling software such a Cinema 4D

The Fine Print
All business-related environments are tobacco-free. Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and computer and Internet access. Must be available to work non-traditional hours such as late nights and weekends.
Able to remain in a sitting position for prolonged periods of time and stoop, bend, reach, climb stairs, and move freely throughout the building for the performance of duties. Able to read from a computer or laptop monitor for several hours at a time including fonts of various sizes from a variety of sources. Able to travel nationwide as needed to meet with clients, coworkers, or attend meetings and seminars. Must be able to move boxed work documents (surveys & materials), up to 40 pounds, in and out of ofﬁce for travel by car and by air.
