Jeffery Chamberlain, the associate director of the CRISPR, Vector and Transgenic Mouse Core is the president elect of the American Society of Gene and Cell therapy. Dr. Chamberlain’s research focuses on muscle biology and is relevant to glucose metabolism and the pathophysiology of type 2 diabetes. His work utilizes transgenic mouse models, adenoviral vectors, lentiviral vectors, and AAV to study Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) and human gene therapy trials.
