Research found the GLP-1 drug semaglutide was associated with reduced hospitalizations and lower suicide risk among people with alcohol use disorder. The study in JAMA Psychiatry, based on data for nearly 228,000 people in Sweden, found fewer hospitals with liraglutide as well.
