Editor’s pick: Meghan Hogan, Amy Liu, Rebecca Hull and colleagues authored the featured paper in Endocrinology in February.  Their work described in this article highlights that under conditions of hyperglycemia, islet endothelial cells are dysfunctional and that this dysfunction may be an important contributor to the secretory abnormalities observed in diabetes.
