Dr. Kate Woodworth, an expert from the CDC’s birth defects division, said it’s safe to administer the COVID-19 vaccine alongside other vaccines, and the agency is updating clinical considerations to indicate that vaccines against coronavirus and other illnesses can be administered “without regard to timing." She said adverse events and immunogenicity “are generally similar when vaccines are administered simultaneously as when they are administered alone," Woodworth said during a CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices meeting.
