A study presented at the World Congress on Insulin Resistance, Diabetes & Cardiovascular Disease found that adults with type 1 or type 2 diabetes who consistently used continuous glucose monitoring had a lower risk for all-cause hospitalization and mortality, compared with those who didn’t use CGM. People who use CGM also had a greater decline in HbA1C after 12 months of follow-up — especially among those with greater HbA1C at baseline — compared with non-users.
