COVID-19 death risk 10x higher in unvaccinated people

A study in the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report found fully vaccinated individuals were more than 10 times less likely to be admitted to hospital following a COVID-19 infection and were more than 10 times less likely to die from the disease compared with unvaccinated people. The findings, based on reported cases from April 4 to July 17, showed people fully vaccinated against COVID-19 were five times less likely to get infected with COVID-19 than those who didn’t get the vaccine.
