Semaglutide, tirzepatide may reduce alcohol use

Research hints at a surprising side effect of semaglutide and tirzepatide in reducing addictive behaviors. A study in Scientific Reports found that adults with obesity using semaglutide and tirzepatide reported decreased use of alcohol and reduced alcohol cravings, and an analysis of more than 68,000 alcohol-related discussions in Reddit found participants on semaglutide or tirzepatide reported significant reductions in alcohol use.
