  • Dr. Dane DeQuilettes (2012-2017) is currently a postdoc in Vladimir Bulovic’s Group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology working to save the world by developing novel photovoltaics.  Congrats Dane!

  • Dr. Jie Zhang (2014-2017) is currently a postdoc in Alex Jen’s Group at the City University of Hong Kong.
  • Adam Colbert defended his thesis titled, “Spectroscopic Characterization of Interfacial Charge Transfer and Recombination in Polymer/Quantum Dot Blends,” and is currently working at Voxtel. Way to go Adam!
  • Dr. Daviiiiiid Moerman (2014-2016) is currently a postdoc in the Laboratory for Chemistry in Novel Materials at the University of Mons in Belgium.
  • Wenbi Wu (2016 B.S. Chemistry) is currently a graduate student at MIT.
  • Phillip Cox defended his thesis titled, “Local Imaging of Optoelectronic Properties and Film Degradation in Polymer/Fullerene Solar Cells with Electrostatic Force Microscopy,” and is currently working at Intel. Way to go Phil!

  • Durmus Karatay (2010-2015) defended his thesis and now works at Microsoft.
  • Yunqi Yan (2009-2015) defended her thesis and is now a post-doc in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences.
  • Dr. Fukashi Matsumoto (2014-2015) visiting scientist.
  • Dr. Micah Glaz (2012-2015) has accepted a position working in the Molecular Analysis Facility at the Clean Energy Institute located at the University of Washington.
  • Hiro Nagaoka (2012-2014) defended his thesis and is currently working at JNC Corporation in Japan on lithium ion batteries. Congratulations!!

  • Cody Schlenker was a post doc in the lab from 2011-2014 and is currently an associate professor in the Department of Chemistry at University of Washington. Congratulations Cody!
  • Esha Sengupta was a post doc in the lab from 2012-2014. She is currently a post-doc in the Schlenker Lab at UW.
  • Kristi Bischoff was an REU student in the lab and undergraduate researcher from Summer 2013-2014.
  • Stephen Hsieh gradauted in 2014 from the UW Chemistry Department and was an undergraduate in the lab 2011-2014.
  • Torin Dupper (2013 REU) currently a chemistry graduate student at UC Irvine.
  • Michael Salvador (post doc 2009-2013) is now a research scientist working in the lab of Prof. Dr. C. J. Brabec at Bavarian Center for Applied Energy Research. Good luck, Michael!
  • Elizabeth Strein (PhD student, Chemistry) successfully defended her thesis entitled, “Probing Photocurrent Generation Mechanisms in Hybrid IR-Senstive Quantum Dot/Conjugated Polymer Solar Cells.” Great job Liz!!
  • Matt Gliboff (PhD student, Physics) successfully defended his thesis and is now a Physics Instructor University of Washington, Bothell. Congratulations Matt!
