Treatment of Palestinians by Israel called “Apartheid” by Amnesty International

By Amnesty International

Amnesty International released their report: “Israel’s Apartheid Against Palestinians: a Cruel System of Domination and a Crime Against Humanity” They now join other respected Israeli and international human rights organizations in naming Israel as an Apartheid State.  The report describes Israel’s system of oppression and domination against the Palestinian people, including seizures of Palestinian land and property, unlawful killings, forcible transfer, drastic movement restrictions, the denial of nationality and citizenship to Palestinians, and the passing of the “nation state” law in 2018 which enshrined Jewish supremacy over the country’s Arab citizens. The report states that Palestinians under Israel control “are treated as an inferior racial group and systematically deprived of their rights. We found that Israel’s cruel policies of segregation, dispossession and exclusion across all territories under its control clearly amount to apartheid. The international community has an obligation to act.”
