    There is a large selection of quality plants at reasonable prices. Trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses, native plants & tools. Master gardeners will help you find the right plant for the right place in your garden. Payment methods include credit, checks or cash. Sale held at Dirt Works Garden in Yauger Park. Park at the far end of the lot. Walk down the the gravel path to the left of the Dirt Works Demonstration Garden. They'll tackle the list of summer chores, let you know what needs to be done now & what can wait & discuss some of their favorite annuals to use for a boost of color. Learn about common Pests and Plagues of Summer. Bess Bronstein is an certified arborist, horticulture instructor & lecturer. Richie Steffen is president of NHS & the executive director of the Elisabeth C. Miller Botanical Garden. Recording will be available for 4 weeks. He’ll explain what makes a plant native or not, share which native species perform best in a garden situation, & tell you why you should or shouldn’t plant them. Part travelogue, part how-to, this lively presentation will illustrate the ups & downs of gardening with native plants in the PNW. Recording will be available to registrants for 4 weeks after the event. The Garden has shrubs & trees, as well as herbs, dye plants, fiber plants & edible plants, offering the most concentrated diversity of plant species per acre in the entire city. Richard Hartlage developed the immersive planting design in collaboration with Field Operations, the project’s lead landscape architect & urban planner. Richard will present how the plants are organized & maintained. Each planting zone tells a unique story rooted in local history & ecology. Richard is the CEO & founding partner of the Seattle-based landscape architectural firm Land Morphology. His award-winning designs incorporate sophisticated horticulture & historical knowledge. The practice encourages you to walk in the forest at a slower pace & take in the atmosphere around you. These walks are slow-paced & generally cover less than a mile of trail.
