The ISCFC is all about reducing our individual and collective contributions to climate change.
But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?
In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?
Are you or are you not convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say that climate change is real and largely human caused? Why are you convinced/not convinced? What evidence might change your mind one way or the other?
Is Climate Change Real & Human-Caused? >
Climate Change is real
Climate change was been something which many people have put of have decided to be fake news. This can be seen in the documentary called "Chasing Ice" which follows a photographer who puts into perspective how bad Climate Change is. The photographer decides to put up a camera which takes a photo over the spend of months and years and with those cameras he was able to that Climate Change is something. The photos depict how the ices move further and further back as the month's move which helps prove the truth of Climate Change. Another thing which can is the video called "His Epic Message Will Make You Want to Save the World Short Film Showcase" which helps show how much damage we humans have done to the worlds compared to how long the earth has existed. In the video, he put the whole amount of time which the earth into a day and then put it into how much time we humans have been here and it was three seconds. He then tells us all these horrible like mass extinctions of many different types of animals and how much we have changed in those three seconds. This helps show how much it that we humans are the ones who caused this as all of these examples only happened so fast it was only during the times which Humans have walked the Earth. There are many examples that are happening in our real life as many places all over the world are in droughts, we see tons upon tons of man-made trash all over the world, and that we have to place fines in order for it to stop happening, or how many of the places you can look around are things which are not natural but are a man-made thing. This goes to show how much we have changed the world as the many you look you can most likely see something that was changed by man and that should not be right. Even right now there are most likely there are people throwing littering, trees getting cut down, and factors pushing about man-made things to give to us humans. Much of the world seems to be affected by us humans and has been changed in some sort of way. I think these show how much at fault we humans are and that this is something that wouldn't be happening if we decided to take care of the world better as it's the only earth we have.
