Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Carbon Footprint
When I took the survey to find out my carbon footprint, I expected it to be around average. I was surprised to see that my carbon footprint was below average in my area. However, I noticed that the food category was almost twice the average person in my area. This is because the amount of meat my family consumes is high. Along with that, The amount of packaging the food we buy has is also high. One thing that I and my family can improve on in the food category is consuming less meat and looking at the amount of packaging food comes in. We can also try to reuse bags and packaging so that we don't buy as many products that are bad for the environment.
