My Carbon Footpring (North Carolina)
My name is Whitney and I am 17. I am from Mooresville, North Carolina, USA. My total carbon footprint was 233,883 kgs. That is above the average of 15,918 kgs for North Carolina. The majority of my carbon footprint came from transportation. My results were not what I expected. I knew that a lot of my footprint would come from transportation because I fly and drive a lot, but I had no idea that it would be 223,717 kgs. I learned how much driving affects the environment and that I drive significantly more than most people. To decrease my carbon footprint in the future, I can decrease the amount that I drive each week.
