Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

What can we do to help others bring their carbon footprint down?
While we can hope that everyone cares about their carbon footprint and the environment enough to want to bring their carbon footprint down, that isn’t always the case. However, doing things like helping your friends and family recycle if they don’t feel the need to or educating them on why it’s important to keep your carbon footprint down. Along with that, having fun family activities like riding your bikes down to get ice cream instead of driving can also help reduce your carbon footprint and your families. While we can’t force people to care about their carbon footprint, we can help them improve it.
We can start by shopping less and try using public transportation when excisable. Those are more of the bigger things but small things you can do to help can also include turning off lights when you leave a room, turning off electronics when not using and etc.
I think the most important part to reduce our average footprints globally is to normalize paper bags instead of plastic ones from stores, and finding a replacement for plastics in our products. But sadly this is not gonna happen in 10 years
I think that there is many ways for we as humans can help others bring down the carbon footprint. Some of the things that we can do to bring down carbon footprint is by using reusable bags when going somewhere, or even use a small containers to carry with you to recycle things like plastic when going out somewhere. We can also stop throwing garbage all around the floor and polluting the environment.
