Demitrius - My Carbon Footprint (USA)
Hello, my name is Demitrius. I am 17 years old from Mooresville, NC in the United States! In my Earth Science class we figured out how large our carbon footprint is. My personal carbon footprint was slightly above our region’s average. My total footprint was 18,210, our class average footprint was 28,775. I think the reason for this is because my family takes multiple long distance road trips. The total footprint for my home was much lower than the average most likely because my house is smaller than most in my area. Another thing that caused my footprint to be higher was the amount of food I eat. I usually eat multiple large meals every day which led to my food carbon score to be a lot higher than my region. My overall score surprised me a little because I don't have a very large house and don't drive around too much.
