Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Electric Everything

nirinap19

Just think, no pollution in the air because there is nothing to make pollution. No cigarettes, no power plants, no factories that give off smog, no gasoline in the air. Since we have already thought of electric cars just think if we make make more things electric. Electric motorcycles, factories that are electric  don't emit smog. Our air could be so clean. Even though this is unrealistic, it's not totally impossible, since we already made electric cars.

Using electricity for everything is a great way to cut down on gasoline and fossil fuels, but most of the world's energy is created by using other fossil fuels. If we really want to cut down on our carbon footprint, we need to use alternative energy sources to power things.
