Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

my footprint
my total footprint is 6.114 Kg. My footprint is lower than Italy but higher than the world.
My footprint in the home section is the highest because I use wood to heat my house and I waste water. Maybe I will use solar panels one day and waste less water.
My carbon footsprint is 3,728kgs. compared to the others it's very low. The food is that make raised my carbon footsprin. I have to buy less food.
My total footprint is 3,791 kgs, which are much higher compared to the average footprint of Vetnam (1,419kgs). Since I have studied about mitigation in carbon footprint, which consists of actions to limit global warming and its related effects. This involves reductions in human emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs) as well as activities that reduce their concentration in the atmosphere. It is one of the ways to respond to climate change, along with adaptation. One of the strategies I could take to reduce my carbon footprint is to climate my purchases of electronics and necessary. In addition, I also need to limit my time used in school bus-instead I can switch back and forth from riding bike and using public transport.
My total footprint is 4,955 kg. This is much higher compared to the average in my region (1,419 kg) but it seems to be lower than a lot of other countries (for example Italy). I think the major factors that contribute to such differences in carbon footprints of each country is 1) the financial and economic situation of said country 2) social practices and habits of citizens 3) the finance of the single citizen. I'm going to attempt at lowering my footprint by using less light during the daytime and less air conditioning since those are two big contributors to my footprint. I would also start biking and walking more for shorter distance travelling instead of using our family's car.
My total footprint is 7404 kg. This is a lt higher than the average in my country (which is about 1,500 kg) and I think the major factors that are causing numbers to be different in every country is because of the acces they have to public transportation. Some are forced to drive their own cars or motorbikes because public transport is simply too hard to access. Changing this would definitely reduce the carbon footprint. To try and reduce my carbon footprint, I'll attempt to take public transport more.
my carbon footprint is 4,740 kgs of CO2 per year, It is higher than the average but I believe that is way more acceptable than all of my friends. However, I need to reduce my transportation by using other vehicles from now on.
My carbon front print is 11,604 kgs of CO2 per year, compared to an average of 1,419 kgs for my country, and 3,791 kg (= 8,358 lbs) worldwide. This is way above average and i think i should work on it
