The ISCFC is all about reducing our individual and collective contributions to climate change.
But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?
In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?
Are you or are you not convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say that climate change is real and largely human caused? Why are you convinced/not convinced? What evidence might change your mind one way or the other?
Is Climate Change Real & Human-Caused? >
Climate change human's effect on the sea level.
Climate change is actually really happening right before our eyes, and includes our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. The more significant source of greenhouse gas emissions from Americans are burning fossil fuels for electricity, heat, and transportation. In the United States and other parts of the world, there are people who aren’t convinced or believe the science behind climate change. The grand thing science does is using the evaluation of evidence to evaluate scientific questions. The evidence that is related to climate change are ice cores drawn from Greenland, Antarctica, and tropical mountain glaciers show that Earth's climate responds to changes in greenhouse gas levels. It is mainly human caused too, and we are at fault for what is seen going on with the ice cores. Humans have also burned fossil fuels, chopped down trees for animal agriculture and many more. The temperature has increased by one degree which might not seem like much but it has raised the sea level tremendously. One degree being raised has caused the glaciers to melt which is why the sea level keeps rising. In the future, the rising of sea levels could cause many places to get flooded or disappear underwater due to our incompetence which is the reason why we should be aware of climate change's existence and actually fix it before it’s too late.
