How often do you get a new cel phone or mp3 player? Did you really need a new model? Do you consider the environmental impact of these purchases? If you are addicted, how can you break your addiction?

Does having the best modern technology a want or a need?
Having the latest technology to me is both a want and a need depending on how you view it.
Many people I know buy the newest technology to show off like buying a new iPhone 13 when they had an iPhone X. I believe that doing this is a want because they already have technology that is up to date and still works, but if you have an iPhone 6 and it works slow doesn’t really connect to cellular anymore then having the up-to-date technology would then be a need.
