Carbon Footprint (Mooresville, NC, USA)
My name is Lauren, I am from Mooresville, North Carolina in the United States and I am 16 years old. My carbon footprint total was 23,391 kgs which is above average for our regions average total, 15,918 kgs. The highest average in my footprint is transportation. My transportation category was so high because of my daily activities and after school activities and location. I expected my carbon footprint to be below average because I thought that most went out a lot and used a lot of carbon. I was slightly surprised that my carbon footprint was so high especially compared to my region. I learned that gas is a large contributor to most people's carbon footprint. I can carpool more and go less places to lessen my carbon footprint.
