Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Traveling and Transportation
When we travel we are constantly using carbon. We use carbon to get to school, drive to a practice, or go on a vacation. These things increase our carbon foot print which can hurt the environment. When I go to school I carpool with two other people in an electric car. This helps me to help save money and reduce my carbon foot print. Not only does carpooling help reduce your carbon foot print, but it saves time and gas too. The gas part might not be a relatable part for you right now but soon it will impact you greatly when you have to spend your own money for gas. When ever I travel I usually drive to instead of flying to decrease my carbon foot print. I know that this is hard for most which is understandable because it takes a lot longer. This might be one of the main reasons we produce a lot of carbon. I think if we all find a way to take that one long drive instead of a plane, or try and carpool with a couple of friends it will all add up and help our environment greatly.
