Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Eat local!

I propose that we eat local as much as we can. This can reduce our carbon footprint by not having companies and farms ship their products from distant lands. It is especially wasteful to eat tropical fruit, which has to come the longest distance here. If you are are very devoted to helping the environment, you can even have your own backyard farm!
Here is a guide i would recommend   [Backyard Farming](//muut.com/u/footprint/s1/:footprint:Vt5B:backyardfarming.jpg.jpg)

GREAT TIPS I LOVE DRAGGING MY KIDS TO LOCALS EATS

Especially here in California where farms are abundant and food is fresh. Visit your local farmer's market to try some fresh, locally grown produce, and more. Farmers markets can be a great way to meet new people trying to reduce carbon footprints and maybe a game changing way to reduce CO2 levels will be created.
