Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Reducing Carbon Footprint

macoBOD

I calculated my carbon footprint to see my carbon footprint and see what I can do to reduce it. To my surprise, I found out that most of my daily carbon footprint emission comes from my home and food. I noticed to reduce my carbon footprint I could remember to turn off the lights when I leave the house and to use gas-powered objects in my house the least amount possible. to reduce my food carbon footprint I need to make a change to stop eating red meat due to the tremendous amount of feed that goes into taking care of beef. from now on these are the changes I'm making to my life to reduce my carbon footprint and make the earth a better place.
