Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

How to reduce your carbon footprint easily
After looking at many posts, I have come to the conclusion of a few easy steps to reduce your carbon footprint.
1) Use reusable water bottles and containers for food. This will eliminate the need for loads of plastic used in disposable water bottles, and also will lessen the overall amount of plastic bags used. This is important because if we continue to use plastic bags or other similar items, more energy will be used making huge piles of bags that just get thrown after being used once. But, in the production of reusable containers slightly more energy will be used but in the long run they will get more use in daily life.

2) Carpool or ride the bus because vehicles are one of the biggest problems with pollution. They release carbon monoxide, they use up limited fossil fuels, and even more carbon in factories while being built. If the amount of cars on the roads are lessened, the total impact of our carbon footprint will be less.

3) Finally, people should reduce the amount of red meat they eat. People don't need to eliminate burgers or steak completely from their diets, but they should recognize that it creates 11x more carbon to be produced when compared to vegetables or grains. If people watch their diets and don't overuse red meats, less cows will be needed for the high demand of red meat which ultimately causes less carbon.
