In the future I believe that all homes could include solar panels or that another invention will be created to help lower our carbon footprint that can be used for houses and therefore lowering our carbon footprints quicker.
Another thing that people could do to their homes is to just paint their homes white instead of other strong colors like black. White doesn't attract the sun's rays as much as black does. For example, Greece. They paint most of their houses white.
