Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carpool and Public Transportation

kimberlychau

Carpooling and using public transportation benefits the environment in many different ways. Carpooling and public transportation can help decrease your carbon footprint. Riding with others rather than using your own car to go everywhere helps reduce pollution since public transportation produces less pollutants than a normal car would.

This is a good method to reducing the carbon footprint in our community.  Public transportation is also a very good method because it saves money and saves the earth.

I wrote something similar and I agree. I think that people should take public transportation or carpool because it can save money and it also reduces your carbon footprint. Also if you carpool you can go in the carpool lane which is a lot faster.
