Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Meat twice a week
Reducing meat intake in mass numbers would greatly benefit the Earth. Animals, especially cows, take a lot of energy and resources to raise. The mass numbers of animals also release in turn fair quantities of methane, which is toxic for our planet if the levels continue increasing. By reducing the population of animals raised to be slaughtered, farming for grain can be decreased and the farmland can begin to replenish it's nutrients, leading to a healthier world.
Is there a lesser impact on your carbon footprint by consuming chicken or fish rather than beef or pork? If so, why? Does it have to do with the size of the animal?
