Do you really need a new phone? Using your phone until it is not longer usable is a great way to help your carbon footprint

I agree, I think you should only get a new device when your old phone is starting to break/not work. Only if you need them though.

I agree. Not buying a new phone until the current one you're using breaks sounds sustainable. That way, more materials aren't being used up. Even if it seems like a small amount, small things add up in the end.

Agreed.  Most of these phones are built to last and are durable.  So buying a new one every time a new model is released is unnecessary.

Yes, I totally agree with you. We should be able to identify our needs or wants, buying a new phone is not a way to solve the problem, instead would just cause more issues and harming the environment. I think that we should probably buy a new device unless it is broken or unusable.

I agree. Your old phone has all the necessary things you need. Even though you buys a new phone, it will have the same function as the old one but just upgraded. People do not need an upgrade on a phone to just get the same stuff over and over again. The phone becomes unnecessary because it is almost the same thing as your last one. Also a new phone only fill your wants but not your needs. Your old phone is enough to fulfill your needs unless if it's broken. People should only buy a new phone if its broken, When factories make phones, it release carbon dioxide with can pollute the air and cause climate change.

I totally agree. Of course our phones has all the necessary needs that we need like Google Maps or Google that helps you to search things. But, if you take someone’s phone away they can still live. If you take someone’s food or water away, they cannot survive. It is not necessary to buy a new phone every time a new one comes out. We do not need an upgrade if it is just the same thing on a little technology over and over again. Your phone is still good and healthy to be used unless if it is damaged or broken. Technologies like phones causes pollution because there will be new factories that makes gadgets like computer or phones that releases mixtures like hydrogen and methane. Those mixtures can cause bad pollution and climate change can get worse.

I strongly agree with this getting a new phone isnt a need unless the old one is broken or disfunction because this is wasting money and is not necessary so i agree that getting a new phne before the old one is broken or dead is a complete waste of money

I also agree that we don't need to buy new phones if we don't need them.If you do need a new phone you could easily buy a second hand one because it doesn't increase the carbon footprint as much,or you could get one passed down to you by a family member (my own family has been doing this for years,and it works).
