Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Conserving Water Conserving Water

bullocka19

The amount of water we as a nation use daily is absurd. If everyone were to make a small effort to cut down on water usage it would all add it to a lot of water being saved. Some ways to conserve water are taking shorter showers, don't leave a faucet running when you are not using it, repair anything that is leaking, catch excess water in a bucket and use it to water your plants or any other small ways to conserve water. Although these are all small things and don't seem like they would be conserving much, if everyone were to do it, we would  cut down on water, and on energy use, drastically.
