Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Home Heating/Cooling Systems
Most houses have an efficient system to keep you comfortable in your home yet, the system is constantly raising your carbon foot print. Most houses, older houses have a heating system that is on a timer where it goes on at a certain time each day. To keep your carbon footprint as minimal as possible, more houses should switch their systems to the system where the heater will only come on if your house drops below a certain temperature. Although having a warm house if nice and comfortable, saving the early and everything around you is much for important.
I agree a lot of people are not realizing that having a safe and clean world is more important than comfort. I believe people should be more conscience when it comes to home heating and cooling systems.
