How often do you get a new cel phone or mp3 player? Did you really need a new model? Do you consider the environmental impact of these purchases? If you are addicted, how can you break your addiction?

its both a need and a want, cuz if you have a laptop then you can do a lot of stuff on it and will make your life a lot easier, but some people just wanna game and maybe thats just a want?

A laptop can be both a want or a need depending on how you plan on using it. Due to how much our world has advanced including our education system, having a laptop or some sort of technology is necessary to write papers, submit homework, or to check emails. For work, it can literally be a mean of survival because without a laptop in some working fields you can't work without one therefore you will have no means of earning money which leads to survival issues. Now, if you feel the need to get a new laptop or computer everytime an updated new model comes out, that turns it into a want. Or if you use it for the sole purpose of things like gaming, watching youtube, etc. then it is most definitely a want.
