Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Transport right

Automobiles are huge producers of carbon dioxide. There are so many ways to cut down on the emissions. Car pooling or taking public transit are two great ways to incorporate saving energy into your daily life. If you wan to take a step further, electric cars cut down on burning fossil fuels. Just something as simple as catching a ride with a friend, or hopping on the bus instead of making your parent drive you, can add up to save so much energy being saved.
