Is Climate Change Real & Human-Caused?

The ISCFC is all about reducing our individual and collective contributions to climate change.

But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?

In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?

Are you or are you not convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say that climate change is real and largely human caused? Why are you convinced/not convinced? What evidence might change your mind one way or the other?

Human activities and climate change

Climate change is one of the biggest threats to the environment.
  Forests provide necessary habitats for people and animals and absorb harmful greenhouse gases that cause climate change. However, large areas of forest are disappearing every minute.
  At the same time, road traffic is among the main sources of air pollution. Every person can contribute to protecting the environment by using public transport. Be the first to save your planet!

I agree, because I think that overheating depends on human activities mostly from the strong increase in the atmosphere caused by coal, oil and gas.
In fact, even the increase in temperatures is causing problems such as glacial melting, rising sea levels. I think some rules to reduce climate change are: use sustainable means of transport, save energy and eat healthy.

i live in the mountains and i see that many glaciers are melting;
it is very dangerous for the habitats where i live.
in North Italy it snows less and the climate is too hot compared to year ago (19° on November);
i think we have to change and to do more attention because the situation will get worse.

I agree, we are the main cause of hurting the planet on which we live. The Earth will not last forever if we continue polluting the oceans, releasing abundant amounts of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, deforesting forests for our own needs, and many other things. It takes minimal effort to ask and research climate change, how you can contribute to your planet, and feel good that you're doing your part to reduce the harm we're doing to our environment.

I agree, humans are the main cause of the climate change effects that our Earth is seeing. Where I live in California, wildfires are a big problem that we face every summer due to the drought. We need to do our part each day in trying to be mindful of nature and the Earth and try to reduce pollution, deforestation, greenhouse gases, and other factors that are contributing to global warming. We also need to be mindful of our animals and their habitats, and how they are being destroyed due to fires and deforestation.

I agree, Climate change is a massive problem and the linger we wait to do something the worse it's going to get.  Eventually, we will get to a point where we can not fix what we have done.  That my not happen in our lifetimes but it will certainly happen at some point in the near future if we keep going at the rate we are right not and don't do anything differently.

I agree because where I live there are many droughts. There are mostly droughts in the summers but occasionally there are droughts in the late spring and early fall now which is very concerning because this means that the climate is warming up. This could lead to much more problems and we need to find a way to reduce greenhouse gases.

I agree, Climate change has gotten so much worse since when we first started hearing about it. If the world doesn't come together and make an effort we might live to see the aftermath. This isn't an issue we can throw aside for the next generation to figure out we need to act now!

I agree, climate change is one of the biggest problems for our environment and humans are a big contribution to that. Human activities are increasing Earth's natural greenhouse effect and if too much heat is trapped on Earth, then there will be a big increase in global temperatures which affect climate change. Eventually, our Earth's environment will get to a point where it's very bad and cannot be fixed. So we should stop our bad habits and try and help lower the greenhouse effect.

Climate change is one of the biggest threats to our world today. However, doing things on a small individual scale is not going to be enough. I belive that we have to act at a corporate and nation level.
